David Belien's work consists of mainly free blown forms in controlled shapes, combined with optical cuts and polished surfaces.  Although very architectural in appearance, the work engages the tactile sense of the viewer through the patterns and structures imparted within the glass. David is currently considered as the emerging glass artist of the Netherlands and his work has recently been added to one of Europe's more renowned glass art collections in the "Ernsting-Stiftung" museum in Germany.
