Eric Lee

Lee's paintings consist of glass painted on the reverse side.  He pioneered a process that allows him to seal and thus protect the back side of the painting from abrasion and moisture.  The visual effect of his works is one of liquid translucence, much like viewing a back-lit transparency.  “My approach to painting” says Lee, “reflects my philosophy about aesthetics in general.  What works and what doesn’t work lies in the transitions.”
