Don MacLane holds BA and MFA degrees in Sculpture from Antioch College and the University of Oregon.  He has also had a series of jobs that has helped him refine the technical skills used to produce his sculpture, like a cabinetmaker, a steel fabricator and a student of mechanical engineering. His work is meant to be touched and moved allowing the viewer to explore the interplay between the interconnected inertial systems.
