Jan Maitland

Jan employs verre églomisé technique, which is the art of painting and gilding on the reverse side of the glass. Designs are engraved into the gold or silver leaf and painted. In some cases, she works on both sides of the glass with precious metal leaf and enamel paints, such as seen in her two-dimensional and framed pieces.
