Functional with a strong aesthetic appeal, the glass work of artist Chris Lowry has been described as "natural" and "captivating". In his own words, Lowry states, "My work has a strong personality. A piece should grab your attention and then be able to keep it." Lowry’s career with glass started as early as age seven in his father’s glass shop on the Northern Oregon coast. Today he is at the Hot Island Glass Studio and Gallery on Maui.
