Ivan Kelly

Ivan Kelly has no fancy philosophies about his art.  He simply feels compelled to translate, through the medium of oil paint, the things that elicit a sense of excitement or wonder.  He looks to exemplify the light and moods of the Central Oregon Coast environment through relating it's grandeur, quietness, wildness, and drama of shadow wherever it falls. 

Mr. Kelly is practiced in the skill of painting landscapes and animals on location.  he believes in working from life to provide the vital foundation for that which is created in the studio.
